Well, its almost time to say farewell to 2012.
Its been quite a year what with the splendour of the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the amazing success of the Olympics and Paralympics here in London England. But it has also been the wettest summer on record.
Further afield, America, the Caribbean and the Bahamas were hit by hurricane Sandy, which left devastation and loss of lives. Which really puts our weather here in the Uk into perspective.
President Obama was re-elected (who, if I were American would have got my vote).
And sadly we lost many great singers through 2012; Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and Etta James, to name but a few.
However on a brighter note we had the wonderfull announcement of a royal baby on the horizon, so well done Wills and Kate.
Oh, and I also celebrated my 2nd year of ‘JustDanica’
So I wonder like the rest of you what will 2013 bring us?
Well whatever is to come, I hope we will all have good health, happiness, and peace.

Note that it is black people in the USA who support President Obama the most. In both the 2008 and 2012 elections, he received over 96% of our votes. That is by far the largest percentage of votes from any demographic group that supported him. The Republican Party didn’t even bother to try and campaign for black votes because they knew where our support stood. It is only natural and obvious that because Obama is a democrat that looks like us and thinks like most of us that we would be very proud and supportive of him. In addition, many older black voters did not believe or dream that a black person could ever become President of the USA in their lifetime. They now believe different. Blacks have come a long way since Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech and the time of the Civil Rights Movement that blacks led. In fact, the times are so much better for all minorities in the USA now. But much better does not mean perfect.
Now don’t get me wrong, in addition to black votes, Obama received a very healthy majority of votes from latinos, single women, young people, asians and that “47%” of voters that Romney scorned. It is the combined coalition of voters with separate interests that enabled Obama to become reelected. The coalition wasn’t buying that bs that Romney was trying to sell especially during the debates between him and Obama. We know who this spoiled rich man Romney was based on his own private remarks, his time at Bain and what he thought we forgot he said during the Republican debates. America has significantly changed demographically and the large base of white men supporters that seem to resent Obama that Romney and the Republican Party counted on were simply not enough to bring them the victory that they had anticipated.
Danica, in addition to being a beautiful voluptuous woman, you’re a nice lady too. I hope that you and your website has its best year yet. We wankers in the USA wish that you were an American too or take some time to come over the pond for a visit. I love how you English refer to the vast and huge Atlantic Ocean as “the pond”. Very funny.

You know thats right:)I always get first as I work late at nights which is the morning for Danica.You are gonna have to not sleep all morning to be first:) I would say that I hope for 2013 not to be working nights anymore.
Thanks for the mention on Sandy Danica,here in the New York/New Jersey area is much better and I’m heading to NYC to see the ball drop as it’s much warmer this year than previous winters.Glad you like Obama who I voted for but he still has alot of work to do and he’s lucky the other candiate lost the Lationo vote.Yes we Latinos are the ones who really help Obama the most get re-elected.
It’s been a crazy 2012 and hopefully 2013 is better.After all my crazy working hours I’m hoping to do some traveling.Costa Rica and yes even London are on my list and I hope everybody here’s get some much needed vacation time.
I am looking forward to the countdown tonight with the gathering outside in my local town with an almighty cheer and the firework display which I bet is spectacular there in London over the Thames.
One year I have yet to see in a New Years eve at Times Square, hope everything there in NY is recovering well. I second that what you say Danica about Obama being re-elected certainly has my vote and the devastation in other parts of the world, God be with them.

Regarding UK weather, it is becoming more extreme than maybe you in London realise, many near myself were homeless for months after severe flooding, which is still ongoing. and I think not to trivialise. In Carribean area also much more loss of life than in USA, which got comparatively little mention in our news.
